Student email to be upgraded starting January 2

Contact: IT Assistance Center, 512.245.4822

December 28, 2016 – The Information Technology Division is moving all Texas State student BobcatMail accounts to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud over the next two weeks, starting Monday, January 2. Students' Texas State email address will not change.

Once moved, students may need to update their mobile device mail app settings. See detailed instructions online or contact the IT Assistance Center (ITAC) for help.

Web-based access to students' emails will be at online at outlook.office.com once a student's mailbox is moved.

Moving to Office 365 will allow for significantly larger mailboxes – now 50 GB – and allows students to take advantage of the full range of apps in Office 365, which are aimed at helping students organize your studies and schoolwork and helping you succeed at Texas State. Find out more about Office 365.

Students should look for an email letting them know when the changes are complete, and look to the ITAC Twitter (www.twitter.com/@itactxst) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/TexasStateITAC) accounts for more information during and after the email move.

The IT Division moved faculty, staff, and student workers' email accounts to Office 365 earlier in December. Anyone needing help accessing their email should contact ITAC at 512.245.4822.
